Alex and Dwayne: an intimate wedding from Ireland to Catalonia

A celebration among friends and family, full of closeness, emotions… and an unforgettable red moon.

Alex and Dwayne are a couple from Ireland who decided to celebrate their wedding in Catalonia surrounded by their closest friends and family, who traveled from Ireland to share this special moment with them. 

During the wedding dinner, something very curious happened: many of the guests then discovered that Alex and Dwayne had actually already been officially married a few years earlier. This celebration wasn’t so much a formal ceremony, but rather an opportunity to bring together all the important people in their lives and enjoy some unforgettable days together. 

We met Alex and Dwayne long before the wedding. About a year prior, we did their pre-wedding photoshoot, which allowed us to connect and build a very close relationship. After the wedding, we also did a post-wedding shoot in Girona, where Alex put her wedding dress back on to stroll through the city’s beautiful streets. 

One of the most special moments of the wedding night was the appearance of a red moon during the full moon. It was completely unexpected and very symbolic, adding a magical touch to the celebration. The wedding was held in a villa and wasn’t a traditional wedding in the classic sense, with a large caterer or a very formal production. Everything was rather simple, intimate, and with a very homey atmosphere. Precisely for this reason, a very special warmth was felt throughout the day. It was a celebration full of emotions and heartfelt moments, which allowed us to create a very beautiful connection with the couple. Without a doubt, it’s one of those weddings that leaves especially warm and sincere memories long afterward.
